This is a friendly and safe school to attend. The teachers are always willing to help students when needed. Students are team players and respectful. Will find a few that may take a while to adjust like any where else. There never has been physical fights because the school is very much focus on discipline and conduct besides education.

Sommerset has amazing teachers who are always willing to help, during the coronavirus situation they have been more than amazing creating fun learning activities to keep the kids entertained and being incredibly patient with them during their zoom lectures.

I loved the safety of this school, it makes me feel more welcomed and safe in a way. However, I would love to see administration try a little harder when it comes to treating the kids more properly.

I've been at Somerset my whole educational "career" and if I could change anything about it, it would be my senior year. With the implementation of a new building that structurally is not the best, the year was kind of annoying. What makes the school are the teachers and staff however, so therefore I highly recommend.

Alot of the teachers and staff are great, but its obvious that alot of the others are just there to get paid. One of my teachers actually said to the class she was just there to get money for grad school and that she hated kids. Nobody in my grade wants to stay at silver palms for high school. The majority of the sports teams are trash and they dont give any funding to the arts, the books are outdated and are graphited.Ihave gone to silver palms since 1 grade and i cant wait to leave.

This charter school cares only about "parent volunteer hours" which they demand you pay $100 per child. Even though is situated in a diverse neighborhood, it is evident of the climate here. This school lacks diversity and the teachers and administration clearly does not care. I have never hated an educational system as this in my life. It's horrible! However, the billionaire who owns the school no doubt feels pride in the hell created here. People will do what they want- so if you choose to send your child to this school pay close attention because these A-holes will smile in your face and mistreat your child as soon as you pull away from the gate.

Somerset is a school that teach their students very well to be ready for college. They have a good program of sports, especially on soccer and football. Somerset provide especial classes for those children that doesn't know how to talk and write in English. Also they have very goods professors that help you whenever you need help, doesn't matter if is personal or academic, they would always be there.

My experience in Somerset Academy was not exactly the best. I would like to see a change in the space of the parking lot and the cafeteria. Also, during lunch we had to stay all bunched up in the cafeteria. We were not allowed to go to the fields to stretch our legs. They also should change the soccer/ football field as the ground is sort of uneven and has many holes, this is problematic as the students can get hurt. Also, they should spend some money to pay for a nurse or a place were we can get medical attention. Also, some of the teachers were not apt for their job. It seems they didn't know about the subject they were supposed to teach.

This school is in desperate need of diversity and sensitivity training. Education is more than reading, writing, and arithmatic; it is developing socially, learning and adapting to different people and cultures. My African American granddaughters experience here is destructive to her development. She endured racial slurs, an unhealthy climate, and is not made to feel welcomed by many of the students. Administration mishandled incidences of prejudice and in this latest incident blamed the victim. I am both disappointed and angered by the school. My family is mixed, and I have more than one grandchild at the school, the experience for my other grandkids of a different ethic persuasion is markedly different. It is sad when race dictates treatment and/or acceptance.

My experience at Somerset was a good one. I'm proud to say that I will graduate in June with great memories and good friendships. Apart from it being a small school, I was able to get along with a lot of people while maintaining good grades.

The student monitoring system is solid, which means that security guards and the school staff are always on task making sure that everything is organized and functioning correctly. The rules for acts such as bullying or racesism are strictly inforced. And because of those reasons the school is a very safe enviroment in which misbehavior or conflicts between students never occur, only one or two minor situations throughout the school year.

The teachers are all amazing, except a few ones.
All of the teachers are willing to provide the student with the knoledge and advice that prepares not only for the classes, but for the upcoming college experience.
Mr. Marquina is the best teacher ever; incredible class, and what we learn is trully useful for every subject.
